Known for its railroad history and charming homes, Tennille has experienced a recent revival to its downtown with the addition of several new businesses and restaurants. The Nancy Hanks, a passenger train ran through Tennille on its way between Atlanta and Savannah. Many older residents remember taking the train to Atlanta for the day to shop. Tennille is still a railroad town with trains passing through many times during the day.

Barn Sign: Located on Highway 15 between Tennille and Wrightsville, this old barn is a must see for Georgia football fans. In 2000 a family started painting the old store to voice their opinions and show support for the Dawgs.
